C&S Industries, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") develops and publishes MOACalc. This page covers our copyright notice and privacy disclosure. In short: MOACalc does not collect, store, or share any personal data. The sensors it accesses — camera, photo library, and location — are used solely on your device to perform the features you request.

Camera & Photo Library
MOACalc uses your camera and photo library solely to let you photograph or import target images for analysis. Images are:
- Processed entirely on your device for shot group measurement.
- Never uploaded to any server or transmitted to any third party.
- Saved only when you explicitly tap Save to Photos or Save to History — MOACalc does not auto-save images without your action.
You can revoke camera or photo access at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security.
Location
MOACalc requests your location only when you tap Pull from Current Location in the session setup. Location is used to:
- Fetch current weather conditions (temperature, humidity, wind speed) from the Open-Meteo API — a free, no-account weather service.
- Determine your elevation in feet for the session record.
Your coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo only at the moment you request weather. They are not stored by MOACalc, not linked to your identity, and not used for any other purpose. You can deny or revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
Information We Do Not Collect
MOACalc has no account system, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no crash reporting service. We do not collect your name, email address, device identifiers, usage statistics, or any other personal information. All session data — profiles, saved targets, custom calibers — lives only on your device and is deleted automatically if you delete the app.
Data Storage
MOACalc stores the following data locally on your device only:
- Shooter, firearm, and ammo profiles — saved in SwiftData (an on-device database). Never transmitted.
- Saved target sessions — stored in SwiftData including the annotated image and results. Never transmitted.
- Custom calibers — saved in iOS
UserDefaults. Never transmitted.
None of this data is backed up to iCloud or any cloud service unless you have enabled iCloud device backup in iOS Settings — in which case it is backed up by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy.
Safety Disclaimer
- MOACalc calculates shot group measurements from a photographed target. Results are intended as a reference only.
- Accuracy depends on the quality of the target photo, the precision of the reference line, and the accuracy of shot mark placement.
- Always verify scope adjustments through live fire before relying on them for any critical application.
- C&S Industries, LLC is not responsible for errors in scope adjustments or shooting outcomes resulting from use of this application.
- Always follow all applicable firearm safety rules and local laws when handling firearms.
Children's Privacy
MOACalc does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13, because it does not collect information from anyone at all.
Changes to This Page
If this page ever changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds a feature that does collect data — we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
